he rain had just stopped as we pulled up to Wheeler Cemetery outside of the tiny town of Kite, Georgia. The grounds contain fewer than 300 known graves, and the carving on the markers is exemplary.

If you come across Parker Field in Jefferson, Pennsylvania, look just behind the visiting team’s bleachers. There you will find historic Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. For more than 250 years, this tiny burial grounds has given rest to nearly 250 locals.
